A large and ambitious chest of drawers originally designed and made as a present from wife to husband. With ten graduating drawers it is both practical and dramatic. The open side structure allows the hand cut dovetails on the drawer sides and heavily figured quarter sawn oak to be seen as each drawer is opened and closed. The handles are turned from rosewood and the drawers feature rosewood slips and cedar of Lebanon drawer bottoms.
Inspiration for the design is taken from the Anglo Japanese Style. A movement that drew influence from Asian design and culture and ran parallel to the Arts and Crafts movement.
Waters and Acland furniture is made, without compromise, in their Lake District workshops. Hand crafted, hand finished. Perfection in the making.
