Tool Requirements
As well as a good workbench setup, you’ll also need access to the following tools to be able to complete this project:
- Hand planes, including block and bench plane
- Chisel set
- Shooting board
- Combination square or engineers square, a mini square is very handy for checking in between our pins and tails.
- Digital calipers
- Parallel clamps and a few F clamps
- Dovetail saw or Japanese saw
- You will need planed all round timber (PAR) so a Planer Thicknesser is preferable, but some timber yards will be able to supply. Please check with your supplier.
